SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT
WHAT IS MY SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT?
When it comes to sleeping arrangements, selecting the right mattress size is crucial for ensuring a restful night, especially when sharing the bed with a partner. A larger mattress, such as a king or queen size, can provide ample sleeping surface, which is essential for accommodating personal space needs. This is particularly important as potential disruptors can arise from having a sleeping partner. Movement during the night can lead to disturbances, while body heat can create discomfort, especially if one partner tends to run warm.
Additionally, sounds like snoring can interrupt sleep quality, as can differing sleep schedules that might lead to one partner waking earlier or staying up later. Different sleeping positions can also affect comfort levels, as one person may prefer to sprawl out while the other might curl up.
To mitigate these issues, investing in the largest mattress that comfortably fits your bedroom is highly recommended, allowing both sleepers to enjoy a more peaceful and uninterrupted sleep experience.

MATTRESS SIZES FOR CHILDREN
When selecting a mattress size for a child, it’s essential to consider their growth and future needs. Twin size has been considered the standard size for children for years, however it’s becoming more popular to provide your growing child with a mattress they can grow into instead of one they are growing out of. A twin XL, for instance, offers extra length, making it suitable for taller children or even young adults who may use the bed later on. A Full size (often called a double) provides additional width in a mattress but the same length as a Twin size. So for night time routines in which a parent is reading to a child, a full size may be the appropriate decision.
A Queen size may provide both room for your child to grow for years (saving you money) with additional space for nighttime routines and co-sleeping situations.
BEST SIZE FOR ADULT SINGLES
Choosing the right mattress for a single adult sleeper involves several key considerations to ensure comfort and support for a good night’s sleep. First and foremost, it's essential to think about the sleeping space. A King size mattress can provide ample space for a single sleeper who may appreciate a bit more room to stretch out, providing the proper length to call accommodate average height individuals.
Single adult sleepers may also consider changes in their lives that may require space for an additional sleeper. It may make more financial sense to purchase a larger size mattress in advance of these changes instead of re-purchasing a new mattress for additional space.
BEST SIZE FOR COUPLES
When selecting the right size mattress for adult couples, one of the primary considerations is ensuring ample space to minimize sleep disruption from motion transfer. A larger mattress, such as a king size, provides each partner with their own space, which is particularly important for a restful night’s sleep. Motion transfer occurs when one partner moves or shifts during the night, potentially disturbing the other. By opting for a bigger mattress, couples can reduce this disruption, allowing each person to move freely without affecting their partner's sleep quality.
It’s important to note, that although a Queen size has been a historically common purchase for couples, two adults sharing this space would have less sleeping surface per person than a child on a twin size! We always recommend getting the largest size that you can comfortably fit into your room. This is why the Florida King has become such a popular option today.
